When the Black and Decker Brand was established by The Black and Decker Manufacturing Company in 1910 by the late S. Duncan Black and the late Alonzo G. Decker, they both have one objective in mind. They have also received many distinctions from all over the world, like the prestigious Army-Navy "E" Award for production, securing the company's future more firmly in the industry, the Queen's Award to industry for outstanding achievement in increasing exports in the U.K., the prestigious Oscar del Commercia from the Italian government for its contributions to the Italian economy, and the Vendor of the Year award from Wal-Mart.
