Do Wind Deflectors Improve Your Driving Experience?

By Melody Quinney

I have never thought of wind deflectors as a 'must have' until I got them. Now that I have them, I will never go back to not having them for every car I own. There are so many different reasons why I love having wind deflectors on my car.

If you have a jeep, a convertible, or if you like having your windows down or your sunroof open as much as I do, you need to get wind deflectors. I hate driving around in a stuffy car, even if my air conditioner or heater is on, it seems that I can never get the temperature right, but my wind deflectors changed all of that for me. Here are a couple of reasons why everyone needs wind deflectors.

Everyone has experienced rolling their window down to find that the noise is too much and they have to roll their window back up. Wind deflectors actually reduce noise, so, you can enjoy your windows down without all the noise from oncoming traffic and wind.

Another reason why I'll roll my window back up so quickly is because I hate how the wind will come in and whip and tangle my hair. Wind deflectors actually solve this problem too. You never have to worry about lose items being tossed in the wind, or the oncoming air hitting your face.

Wind deflectors can make it so you can roll your window down even while it is raining outside. You don't even have to worry about the rain coming into your vehicle.

Wind deflectors also allow air conditioners and heaters to perform better as they let stale air exit the car freely. They also get rid of obnoxious fogging that happens to your windshield and other windows.

You have mainly two different options for a wind deflector; they are the tape-on, and the in-channel. It's important to note that the in-channel doesn't work for all vehicles, but it stays onto the car by getting tucked into the window channel. The tape-on works well and looks good on your car and attaches using an adhesive tape.

Just like many others, and me, you will never go back to pre-window deflector days once you have experienced them for yourself. It doesn't matter what type of vehicle you have, window deflectors are sure to be a perfect fit for you and your car. - 21393
