Cars Have Improved Over The Years

Back when cars were first invented, they were a lot simpler in design. The ride was rough as well because of the roads that they traveled on and the design of the car itself. Everything we have done with cars since then has been to improve the performance, increase the safety, and produce more comfort in the ride.

Though the car was simple in design in the beginning, it did have some gauges. Those car gauges have changed over the years for the better. Now we have cars that have fewer actual gauges and more lights that serve as a warning when a problem arises

In order to improve the performance of our cars and help to reduce the emissions that they put out, engine computers were invented. These computers help to regulate the flow of the air and fuel so that we get the most power with the least amount of emissions possible.

The engine computer was the original car computer. The Power train control module is the next generation of the car computer and controls not only the engine, but the remainder of the power train, including the transmission.

Strides have been made in the safety of cars as well. Since the beginning of cars, seatbelts have been implemented, airbags have come about, cars have been designed to absorb impact better so that the occupants do not, and many other things have come about in the name of safety in the car.

When it comes to our cars, we have certainly demanded and got increased comfort in our cars. This evolution in the car is also the largest thing that is responsible for making the inner workings of the car more complex. Although it has complicated the car, it has also greatly improved our ride in a car.

Cars have been considered a necessity for most every American for some time now. Especially in rural areas, it is impossible to do the daily things that need to be done without a car. Because of that, it makes sense that we have continued to make improvements to our cars to make them better.
