Although given little importance at first, this issue has gained more attention with scientists globally acknowledging it as one of the major threats of our time. A main reason for its occurrence is the burning of fossil fuels. In order to counter this, the hybrid car was invented that uses minimal fossil fuel, and as a result, produces much lesser greenhouse gas. In order to ensure that global warming slows down, and we get power to control it, it is indispensable that use of fossil fuels becomes minimal.

The engines of hybrid cars use less gas as compared to regular cars. This is a major step in the war fought against global warming. The threat global warming offers is so significant that a prominently increasing number of people opt for a medium of technology that is less damaging to the environment. Thus, such people are opting for hybrid cars, which use less fuel due to the smaller size of the engine, and give its consumers a better mileage in comparison as well.

The engine of a hybrid car is powered simultaneously by a battery, and fuel. This allows the car to produce around thirty to fifty percent less greenhouse gas when compared to an average car. Modern technology and advancement has also allowed these cars to have a better mileage than other cars. Using the same amount of gasoline, a hybrid car runs an extra ten to fifteen miles. The efficient utilisation of fuel is one of its causes of popularity.

The electric motor in many hybrid cars allows for superior performance along with lesser utilisation of gas. This contributes in the fight against global warming. Whenever the vehicle comes to a standstill, some hybrid cars have been designed to switch from the gas motor to the electric one.

Nowadays, the continuous rise in the prices of gas is directly proportional to the fall in the attainability of fossil fuels. The future of hybrid cars is rather bright, as the consumers are becoming more conscious of the environment they live in. Governments also encourage consumers to use hybrid cars by establishing a tax incentive programme.

The automobiles that are not hybrid are much harder to clean, and use much more fuel than hybrid cars. With the increasing amount of carbon dioxide emission, regular cars are a huge threat, as they encourage global warming. The increasing number of oil spills, and the tropical rain forest destruction could only be controlled with a switch over to hybrid cars.

Whenever a hybrid car has replaced a regular automobile on the road, a contribution is made in controlling global warming. The dangerous off shoots and the greenhouse gas emission of such regular vehicles is a serious threat to the earth climate. Hybrid cars have been designed in a manner that they use gasoline to a minimum. This leads to limited damage to the environment.

Now, it is up to us to take action, and slow down the growth of global warming. Each individual has the ability to make a significant contribution to the combat against global warming. Usage of hybrid cars may not be able to stop global warming altogether; however, it plays its role in creating a comparatively cleaner and healthier environment. - 21393
