My first Impala SS
One day I was walking driving home from work when I saw a 1996 black Impala SS race right by me. The car looked stunning and I knew I had to own one.
I'm now a proud owner of a 1996 Dark Green Gray Metallica Impala SS with 69 thousand miles on it. I had to drive 90 miles to the dealership but that was all worth it.
Each things I have mentioned can be put into a review of its own. The power, the body, the drive can all be in their own respective reviews. I won't be doing this because it does not prove anything.
Yes I like this car, yes this car is fast but is it really that important to anyone? For people looking to buy this car, they want to know the negatives so that is what this review will be about. Just remember I do really love this car.
The Impala SS features a 286 HP engine. It's design is built for speed and its ride is fantastic. Do you as a buyer really care about this though? When I want to buy a vehicle I always hear about the good stuff.
I never actual hear someone talking about what the hate about their ride. Yes I love the Impala and yes I would recommend for you to buy it but it does have some negatives and that is what this review is about.
A great little performance boost for your Impala is available by K&N for about 150 bucks. This gives you an additional 26 HP making a fast car just a little bit faster. On a side note, one needs to remember that all vehicles have problems.
Different cars have problems with engine cooling, radiator, water pump and hoses. Others have more serious problems such as defects but GM does correct these problems over the years. - 21393
