An Overview- The Demerits of 2005 GMC Denali
The name plate given to select luxury and pick-up vehicles of General Motors is Denali. It epitomizes a sense of comfort, style and class. Denali, Yukon XL Denali, Envoy Denali, Envoy XL Denali, Sierra Denali are the select models under the Denali line.The name Denali suggests perfection but there are several features in this line that are far from perfection as such they need to be worked upon to improve the efficiency of these vehicles.
The luggage space and storage space available is very less and as such it is very inconvenient to use for long journeys. The navigation system of the car also is very sensitive and causes a lot of trouble. The overall fit and finish of the car is not up to the mark and peels off early.
There are very few electrical hot points provided. It offers low gas mileage and low fuel economy. It is also expensive to upgrade to the optional 20 inches wheel package.
The leather seats provided and the wood trim are also not of a good quality. The sunroof is not remote controlled but has to be operated by a switch. The controls of the radio and the cd player also do not operate well and hence bring down the quality of the sound system.
The comfort level of the leather seats is bad. The Denali line is also known for its size and as such it is not convenient for use in places that do not have large parking lots. The slots allotted for cup holders are also not adequate.
The seats in the third row are particularly uncomfortable with no provision for leg space and the rear end also loosens at times. The high ground clearance facility makes for difficult loading. The price of these vehicles is also a lot making it very difficult to buy them.
Water leaking through the headliner is also possible. There is no provision for features like snow chains which could have helpful in times of bad weather. The speedometer provided also is very sensitive and shows incorrect readings many times.
