Can Your Job Affect Your Car Insurance in Pasadena, TX?

By Hector Jimenz

If you believe the old adage that you are what you eat, it follows in the car insurance business that you're likely to drive what's on your mind. Simply, when stressed and in a hurry, people are more prone to get in accidents.

Insure.com and Quality Planning Corp recently released their top 10 list of the most crash-prone professions. I was surprised to find that the professions my mom wanted me to become top the list.

Having a stressful job maybe a big sign of people who are getting in the most accidents. You won't find a yoga instructor on this list.

This top 10 lists definitely has some high achievers as well as people who need a sense of urgency.

Read on to see the top ten list and why Insure.com believes that each occupation ranks so high:

1. Doctors Per year, every 1,000 doctors average 109 accidents and 44 speeding tickets, landing them at the top of the list. Are these sleep-deprived residents and interns too tired to stay on the road, or do they just enjoy playing God in traffic?

2. Lawyers

Per year, every 1,000 lawyers average 106 accidents and 37 speeding tickets. No need to chase ambulances when you're already at the scene of an accident!

3. Architects

Per year, every 1,000 architects average 105 accidents and 72 speeding tickets.

4. Real estate brokers

Per year, every 1,000 real estate brokers average 102 accidents and 39 speeding tickets.

5. Enlisted military personnel

Per year, every 1,000 enlisted military personnel average 99 accidents and 78 speeding tickets.

6. Social workers

Per year, every 1,000 enlisted social workers average 98 accidents and 33 speeding tickets.

7. Manual laborer

Per year, every 1,000 manual laborers average 96 accidents and 77 speeding tickets.

8. Analysts

Per year, every 1,000 analysts average 95 accidents and 40 speeding tickets. Perhaps if they analyzed how much they could save with a good driver discount, they'd be more careful.

9. Engineers

Per year, every 1,000 engineers average 94 accidents and 51 speeding tickets. Using a calculator while driving definitely won't help their cause.

10. Consultants

Per year, every 1,000 consultants average 94 accidents and 50 speeding tickets. Perhaps they could give themselves advice on how to be better drivers.

Is your occupation on this list? Don't fret if you do fall into one of the categories. Your Pasadena TX auto insurance company will ask you what your profession is but that will not effect your cost of insurance, even if you are a doctor or lawyer.

There are numerous factors figured in for your car insurance policies like your zip code, current driving record, etc... but most likely are not based on your career choice. - 21393

Getting The Best New Auto Insurance Deal

By Graham McKenzie

After you have already purchased the new car you always wished to have, you may just come to know that you will now also have to get car insurance besides your monthly car payments. For many states, it is compulsory to have car insurance, and most finance providers require you to get a minimum coverage for your new car.

The best way to insure that you get low rates on your car insurance is to buy what is called a "safe car". These cars are naturally less likely to incur damage from a crash and have special features that make it safer for drivers. Some of these features may include airbags or anti-lock brakes. Even if the car you want is not deemed a "safe car" it still may have some of the features insurance companies look for, and they can discount your rates.

While planning to get auto insurance along with a new car, you may want to reflect on what kind of model you buy. Every insurance company uses some kind of rating, known as the ISO symbol. It indicates the insurer regarding the money that would be required to repair that particular car. This helps the insurance companies in determining the premiums. The sports cars are rated much higher than your day to day family car; therefore you must take this into account before buying a new car. The color of the car also matters a little when it comes to fixing the premium rates.

You should never use a new car without insurance. Just imagine how bad it would be if the new car gets involved in an accident within few days of buying it, and you don?t even have an insurance to fix the damages. Apart from this, some of the finance providers insist on your getting insurance for your new car. If you don?t get this done, then they may get the insurance for you on three times more the original cost.

You must carefully decide what sort of coverage you require from your auto insurance. Many people think that liability insurance is the best choice; however you may require supplementary coverage for your new car. What would you do if you have an accident with a driver of an uninsured car? You may in this case require collision insurance.

You must also consider the fact that your new car is more likely to get stolen or vandalized. This possibility gets higher if you buy a new sports car. In such cases, you may require a comprehensive insurance. This type of insurance covers your car for almost every disaster with the exception of car accidents.

Insurance on a new car can be expensive, so it's an important part to take into consideration when planning your bills. Know that every part of your driving record, your credit history, and car type is taken into consideration with your insurance company so they can determine how risky of a driver you are. There are several ways drivers can try and lower their insurance from the beginning, but it does require a bit of research into different companies and the discounts they offer. - 21393

Mini Bikes For Kids, What A Variety

By Chris Frost

Mini bikes for kids today includes a wide variety of different styles and types. In the "old" days we would think of a small frame wide sort of bike with go cart tires and a lawn mower engine. The mini bikes of old used predominantly a 3. 5 hp motor and a centrifugal clutch for transmission. Those days are gone, modern technology has taken over in the mini bike field.

When we speak of mini bikes today, we conjure up a whole new picture. The mini bikes of today come in many styles and varieties and are powered either with a gas or an electric motor. In this article, we are going to examine the many different types of mini bikes that are available today.

We will start with the Super street bikes. These are a scaled down imitation of what we call the Japanese "crotch rockets" we see breaking the speed limit every day, if not wheeling by us in traffic. These can also be turned into "Super Pocket Rockets" that we will talk about later.

There are Chopper mini bikes that are (you guessed it) just scaled down models of the custom street cruiser bikes we see on the road every day. These are the fastest growing facet of the mini bike industry today. You can customize these bikes in many different ways, just like the full size bikes.

When we talk about mini dirt bikes, we are probably talking the closest to the old fashioned mini bike. There are versions of the old style mini bike, but with better qualities. Most of the mini dirt bikes are just scaled down versions of the dirt bikes we see at the motocross races. These mini bikes are designed to be ridden primarily in the dirt on rough terrain.

For the competitive natured riders there are the Super Pocket Rockets. Again, most of these are just scaled down versions of the Japanese Crotch Rockets. The fact that these are mini bikes is not something that means they are slow. These bikes are built for speed and can be customized to go very, very, fast.

There are also the electric versions of all these mini bikes for kids; however these are not nearly as fast or as sturdy as the others.

You should always think safety first when you put your child on one of these. Your child should always wear a helmet and any other safety gear that will keep your kid safe. - 21393
