How To Reduce Your Car Insurance Premiums

By Nicholas Seymore

The following article includes pertinent information that may open your eyes to cheap car insurance for young drivers, teenagers and women. The most important thing is to study with an open mind and be willing to revise your understanding if necessary.

Car insurance has had to adapt to allow policy level underwriting for modified owners as individuals, to set their preferred levels of cover, rather than standard rating which takes an en mass approach. Insurance companies have had to realise that if they want the specialist car insurance market business, they must take into consideration that as modified vehicle owners take pride in their vehicle and maintain their cars to the highest standards, they would expect nothing less from an insurance policy.

For example, if the teenage son of the person who is purchasing car insurance had a bad driving record, the rating of the entire household would dip sharply, because the son would also be an "insured". The insurers would not issue the car insurance unless all the members in the household had adequate driving record rating. Where you live will affect your premiums, although moving to get cheaper car insurance is somewhat of a radical step!

Hopefully the information presented so far has been applicable. You might also want to consider the following points about car insurance for young drivers and women:

While anyone can get a car insurance quote within minutes, a quote won't help you find a good deal unless you are familiar with what the market has to offer. So before committing to any policy, you should first scour the market. There are many different things to be aware of in the world of car insurance, especially when it comes to calculating comprehensive insurance policies. This financial and investment protection is important for drivers, especially those in competition, to have race car insurance on their specialized vehicle. Accidents occur frequently on race tracks, and when they happen they often times result in much damage.

Car insurance rate offers free online car insurance quotes to find the best and cheap car insurance for you. You can compare cheap auto insurance companies rates nationwide in just 5 minutes. Want to compare the top car insurance company rates? Do it easily with free auto insurance quotes on one site. A good car insurance quotes compared agent, however, goes beyond the call of duty for the car insurance site. It can range from 15% to 30% of the company, the ease in filing a claim because damage was done to the policy such as medical payments with a maximum of $1,000, and uninsured motorist bodily injury liability per person of $10,000 and per accident of $20,000.

There are some small bits of highlights that people have forgotten to look into and this includes the higher rates for car insurance. Apparently, when this CARS program was signed into law, much of the focus was into the amount they could get for their old cars. However, anytime can be a good time to shop and potentially save money on your car insurance. When you are shopping for car insurance it is best to compare many different companies to be sure you are getting the best possible rate. There are many things that can affect your rate.

There's a lot to understand about cheap car insurance for young drivers, teenagers and women. We were able to provide you with some of the facts above, but there is still plenty more to write about in subsequent articles. - 21393

Celebrate Life With The Jeep Wrangler

By Mike Alvarado

Undeniably, the Jeep Wrangler was never made for the city roads. Sure, it may look good on the sea of asphalt and concrete alongside the Lamborghinis and the Ferraris of the world. But then, there are those things that would really make the Jeep look bad, even for the proud owner.

For one, the Jeep Wrangler has this thing for open air, which might work well in the concrete jungle, but not in the long lines of city traffic. There is also the issue of space. The Jeep Wrangler, beautiful as it is, lacks the space you might need when you go shopping. And then the Jeep Wrangler was never meant to be the family's official ride. The Jeep Wrangler is the lone wolfs ride, period.

One must understand that the Jeep Wrangler is not a statement of luxury. Owning one is certainly not a declaration of status. This 4x4 vehicle is not designed to provide a comfortable ride but rather conquer terrains and trails, even those that are deemed impassable. Frankly, the Jeep Wrangler is a declaration of passion for the Great Outdoors.

The Jeep Wrangler has always been the vehicle that loves pure off-road adventures. Perhaps its association with the wild side of driving gives the vehicle the appeal it has on people that love venturing and conquering pits, muddy bogs, sand dunes, forest trails and rocky roads. And for the record, there trails are where those fancy cars suck big time.

But truth be told, the Jeep Wrangler's appeal does not stem mostly from its stiff frame and its rugged design. Rather, the Jeep Wrangler's mainstream appeal dates back to the annals of history. While some people may view the Jeep's enticing charm to the call of the wild, history has its own take.

The Jeep Wrangler is designed to look a lot like the original Army Jeeps used in World War II. From that fact stems a sense of invitation to driving out of the box. While the WWII Army Jeeps have become an icon of liberation, the Jeep Wrangler, in a way, has become an icon of individualistic expression of freedom. One needs to badly want and own a Jeep Wrangler and feel the open air while driving to really know what individualistic expression of freedom really means.

It cannot be argued that the Jeep Wrangler underwent major transformations year after year. But even with all the modern features and sophisticated add-ons, the Jeep Wrangler has remained the vehicle it always was. This four-wheeled monster is and always has been a celebration of life on the wild side. - 21393

3 Unforgettable Cars: Cadillac, Corvette, And Mustang

By Jake Richards

If you're looking for ideas for great cars, the Mustang, the Corvette, and the Cadillac (pick a Caddy model, they're all good) can be really great choices. They all have a lot to offer to people who like different kinds of cars, so it's easy to see why they've remained popular for such a long period of time. Not everyone sees the allure of these great cars, but most people understand how important they've been to a lot of people through the years and how they look like they'll be staying that way.

Owning a Cadillac means owning something prestigious, which is why many business owners and others who are doing financially well in life choose to purchase that particular car. Limousines quite often carry the Cadillac name, also, and there is a certain standard that is attached to anything that bears the name of Cadillac. People who have achieved a degree of success can often have the desire to show some of that to the world, and they often choose a Cadillac to showcase their good fortune but also for the car's reputation for both reliability and luxury.

With Cadillac, you can get some different choices. The company used to make a lower-priced, manual transmission, four-door car called the 'Cimarron,' and they also have everything from top-dollar luxury to something that's a little bit sportier. The sportier models are popular, and Cadillac has moved into making SUVs, too, as well as the more 'standard' Cadillacs, and even those have been changed and updated so that they've come more in line with what a lot of people are looking for today. Some people who loved the old Cadillacs think that the new ones don't have enough to offer and don't look right anymore, but most people like the way the company has changed its cars to fit what today's drivers want and need.

If a Cadillac isn't quite what you're looking for and you want something really sporty, a Mustang or a Corvette might be more what you're after in an unforgettable car. The Mustang has been part of Ford's lineup for years, and it just keeps getting better and better, as Ford always seems to be making improvements to give its customers what they want and need in a sports car. For quite some time after the discontinuation of the Chevy Camaro, the Ford Mustang was the only sports car out there that was still in an affordable range for a large majority of people.

People who like two-seater cars and have a little bit more money to spend might find themselves looking for a Corvette so that they can get the horsepower and the speed and handling that they want. Just like the Mustang, the Corvette doesn't look the same as it did years ago, but it hasn't forgotten what it used to look like and where it came from, either. The stylish, sleek, and sophisticated exterior of the Corvette has stayed, and the car has gotten great features to make it more safe, more comfortable, and better handling, among other improvements.

No matter whether someone chooses a particular model of Cadillac or whether he or she decides to go sportier and choose a Mustang or a Corvette, all of the cars have great things going for them. Not everyone likes the same kind of car, which is why car models (and car makers) come and go, but it's pretty clear that Corvettes, Mustangs, and Cadillacs are not the kinds of cars that will fade away because people aren't interested in them anymore. These cars have real staying power, which is something that can't always be said for other brands of cars, many of which most people would probably not remember, or at least not remember fondly, anymore because they had too many problems in the past.

When companies know that they are able to make cars that the public really loves, they work hard to continue to do that and the Mustang, Cadillac, and Corvette all seem to be the kinds of cars that everyone wants and that hold the attention of car buyers. Any good car maker knows how important it is to keep people who like their cars interested in what they have to offer and to get new car buyers to take a look at what they have to offer, and that's done through being innovative. Cars stay popular when they can keep people's attention and continue to evolve. - 21393

A Twenty First Century First. A Harley Davidson With Brakes!

By John Vincent

The year 2008 was Harley Davidson's 105th anniversary which isn't a particularly well recognised milestone I'll admit but that didn't stop them celebrating it with style as they have done every 5 years since God Knows when. It also happened to be the 25th Anniversary of H.O.G. - the Harley Owners Club - which was arguably more significant.

To celebrate the occasion were a few notable events. The first was a four day festival of non-stop activities and music in Milwaukee City centred primarily along the lakefront area. The mighty H.O.G. held their event at Miller Park, there was an organised run to the whole thing beginning at 105 separate Harley dealers from all around the states and Harley Davidson themselves released a total of 14 separate models of extremely special limited edition bikes.

The 105th Anniversary models all featured exclusive two-tone paint schemes in copper and black with copper vinyl inserts tastefully inlaid into the saddles and copper shield decoration on the tanks and air cleaners. Some of the top models also featured something new. Something which made me stop and think when I heard it. Harley Davidson factory fitted Brembo disk brakes with advanced ABS! For a minute I even thought I was going to faint.

They didn't just fit and modify an existing system either. Instead they designed much of it from scratch even going so far as to hide most of the mechanism within the hub of the wheel. The result was a Harley with wheels that looked exactly as they were meant to but with remarkably efficient ABS.

One of the bikes to receive this treatment was the top of the range CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide. Already a bike with more features than a headline festival, including a built in navigation system, Harmon-Kardon stereo system, Cruise Control and even heated seats, the Anniversary edition is truly an incredible touring bike to behold.

The best thing of all though is the engine. It's what makes Harley Davidson's so iconic in the first place and the Twin Cam 110 (1803cc) motor they use in this machine keeps all the character of noise and shake we have come to expect. Extensive rubber mounting ensures the shake stays with the engine though, keeping the rider and passenger free of stress able to enjoy the ride and just listen to that glorious noise.

The only real competition this motorcycle has in its class is, in my opinion, the Honda Goldwing. On paper they have an amazingly similar spec, even the engine sizes almost match. But in reality let's be honest, one of them has infinitely more style than the other. In fact it takes image into a completely different league. And with brakes that actually work I can't imagine there's much choice left at all and the votes will have already been cast. - 21393

The Engine Computer Is Likely The Greatest Improvement To Cars Since The Car Was Invented.

By Jason Melik

Cars have greatly evolved over the years since their beginnings back in the early 1900's. Many things have evolved surrounding cars as well, such as the roads they drive on, the distance that they travel, and the demands we have put on cars.

One of the biggest evolutions to cars is hardly visible to the average person. The engine computer, otherwise called the ECM (engine computer module) was developed to help improve many things about the way an engine performs.

A side benefit of the desire to improve the emissions of our cars is the increased gas mileage. The gas mileage of our vehicles has continued to improve as engine computers have improved in their performance. While some people do not care as much about the environment, they will never complain about the improved gas mileage.

The emissions of vehicles and their impact on the environment has been a great concern for some time. The engine computer came about partly due to this issue and has been a big factor in improving the pollution levels of vehicles. The computer continually adjusts things like fuel and air depending on the conditions that it is driving in. This helps to reduce the emissions and thus the pollution from cars.

The ECM also serves as a monitoring system for the driver and can make them aware when there is a problem. When a problem is detected, it sends a signal to the instrument cluster in the dash telling a light to turn on that will indicate to the driver that there is a problem. Also, a code number is stored in the ECM that is accessible by a mechanic. That code will tell him what the exact problem is allowing him t o know what to fix.

Another aspect of ECM's is they now monitor what used to be done through the use of mechanical gauges. They monitor things like coolant temperature and oil pressure. Once these things go outside of the parameters that have been set, the ECM sends a signal to the instrument cluster to turn on a light that will alert the driver.

The use of ECM?s on vehicles could well be argued to be the most improvement of cars since they began. Unlike some of the other major improvements that we have seen in cars, the engine computer is not highly noticed by the common driver.

The future will certainly hold more improvements to our vehicles. One that seems to be around the corner is another drastic jump in gas mileage. Chevy announced that there new car in 2010, the Chevy Volt, is capable of getting 230 miles per gallon around town. This is a combination of an electric car and a traditional gas powered engine. - 21393
