Save Money With A Refinance Car Loan

By Frank Jenkins

With the economy in trouble, many people are trying to find ways to save money in the long run. What many people are unaware of is that getting a refinance car loan is possible and it can prove to be beneficial. Although some people are aware of the idea, they still might wonder how they can qualify.

Anyone who feels as though they have a car loan that is costing too much should look into the idea. The sooner that you refinance your car loan, the more money you can save.

If you're like most people, you probably just financed your car at the lot that you bought it from. If you did this you probably payed an extra interest surcharge and didn't even know it. Chances are that you qualify for a lower rate, even several percentage points lower that what you originally got.

You expect to save anywhere from twenty to fifty dollars a month. For example, a person could have a car loan at 12.5% APR for $404.96. With a car refinance loan at a lower rate of 9.5% APR, the payment could be lowered to $378.03. Obviously, over a month, one can save $26.93. Better yet, in a year, one can save $323.16.

A refinance car loan does not take much time and effort to get. After filling out an application, which can be done online, and a loan agent will then call and verify the application. The agent will also give a credit decision, and afterwards, the old loan will be paid off. Then, the new loan is opens, requiring lesser monthly payment.

Keep in mind that if you are close to having your car paid off it probably isn't worth it to refinance. You should still owe at least $7000 on your current loan to make it worth your time. The goal is to save money, do make sure to do your homework before applying for any loan. - 21393

The Toyota Hybrid Sports Car

By Anton Rowd

Year 2008 is the year every Toyota loyalists should be looking forward to. This is because that is the slated release for the much-awaited Toyota hybrid sports car dubbed the Volta. Toyota has always been known to set itself apart from all other car manufacturers, releasing some of the most outrageous designs that seem to grow onto society once the cars establish themselves as bestsellers.

Japan Goes Italian

Toyota's hybrid sports car can only be a real head turner. This is what's expected when you have an elite group of designers to give the new concept car a new, nice Italian twist. Pictures of the concept car have emerged from the company itself and the first thing that may come to mind is the Lamborghini Diablo; only the Volta is eco-friendly.

Toyota believes that hybrid technology can also be used in high-performance vehicles such as the Toyota Volta. After all, it is rumored to go from 0-60 in 4 seconds and has a top speed of 155 mph; not as fast as the Diablo or any Ferrari but the important thing is how much gas this vehicle doesn't use.

The Name Game

Toyota Volta will also be paying homage to Alessandro Volta, the man responsible for inventing the electric battery in 1800. This is only very apt since this vehicle does run on a type of battery. The Volta runs a V6 engine and there's an electric motor on each axle.

The electric motor will be used to operate several things at the same time such as, for example, a computer that operates the movement of the wheels, activation of brakes, etc.; basically something known as drive by wire, a technology that is fitted into modern fighter jets, so you can imagine how much time in design was spent on this near-future release. This technology also allows for an awkward feature that can have the passengers reposition the steering wheel and pedals in front of them.

Hybrid Car Economy

Toyota aims to have the Volta out and running by year 2008 - two centuries after the invention of the battery for which the car is named after. It is expected to have a tank that holds only 13.7 gallons that will allow it to go 435 miles when filled up. Plus, if 408 horsepower isn't enough, you will just have to weight for later versions of the Volta because this is the top speed estimated for the initial release.

Toyota France expects to release this to the European market in 2008. However, Germany might be happy to know that the car will be for sale there by December of 2007. Experts are speculating that prices for the Toyota hybrid sports car will range from $72,000 to $165,000 in the US market once it hits North American shores.

Whether or not the market is ready for this sports car, Toyota itself is ready to prove that hybrid technology does belong in the automobile industry and will suit any purpose and application. - 21393

The Different Types Of 4x4 Accident Insurance

By Susan Reynolds

You will want to cover the costs of an accident without having to pay them out of your pocket. For this reason insurance to cover your vehicle is of the upmost importance. Accidents can cause thousands of dollars in damages and medical bills. To avoid having to pay these bills or being sued you should at least have basic insurance. Before you decide on which type of insurance is best for your needs you should consider a few different factors.

Liability is the minimum type of insurance offered to drivers and is also the lowest costing. It will cover damages done to other vehicles if you get into an accident. It also covers injuries to other people if they are in the hospital or can?t work. When you have liability insurance you are not covered for any damages or injuries incurred upon yourself you?re your vehicle. This insurance is best for people who don?t drive much or have a car not worth insuring.

You may also consider getting coverage for damage sustained from accidents not involving other vehicles. If you live by the ocean for example, you may have to worry about storm damages from hurricanes. People who live in the inner city are more concerned with vandalism and theft. A 4x4 is particularly more expensive to cover since it is considered a high-profile vehicle. Insurance agents will categorize it as being more likely to suffer these types of losses, and therefore it becomes a greater hazard to cover. Look over these types of policies carefully since some don?t cover specific types of damages.

To get your vehicle completely insured you will need collision insurance. This covers anything that happens to you or your vehicle in an accident. When you add this to comprehensive and liability insurance you will find that your 4x4 is protected from just about everything. Since it is very expensive to get this type of insurance, it?s best to have it only on a newer 4x4 that is worth a lot. In any case, collision insurance will leave you without any worries.

Drivers looking for some off road fun have to get further insurance if they want to be covered. Many plans will become void while you are driving off of the pavement since you are at a higher risk for damages. Off road 4x4 insurance works the same as a regular policy in protecting your vehicle from damages sustained just from driving. Drivers who participate in competitions may seek out insurance that covers them for a single day, instead of extended periods.

Before you decide what company you will deal through be sure to get plenty of online quotes. These quotes will give you an idea of what different insurers cost so you don?t have to spend a week driving around to the different insurance companies. While comparing you will have take into consideration what each policy offers. Every policy will be slightly different and have different amounts of coverage. - 21393

Pocket Bikes - Why So Popular?

By Eric Wagner

If you said that mini bikes, or pocket bikes, as they also are called are just shrunk down full size motorcycles you wouldn't be far off. These small and sleek machines looks just like smaller motorcycle with a smaller price tag attached, which is great news for all kinds of motosports enthusiasts and collectors all over the world. A mini bike will have all the important parts and design choices of a full size motorcycle built into a frame only 2 to 3 foot high. Powered by either a gas engine or a electrical engine these little machines can be used for professional racing or recreation and are very popular among all age groups.

If you care about having a stylish machine that doesn't look like anyone elses, or simply like to customize your ride, the pocket bike world will make this very easy. To begin with, you can get the machines in a large variety of colors, patterns and designs. Add to that the ability to further customize by adding decals, changing handlebars and so on. The general design of minibikes follows real size bikes very closely. So a chopper mini bike will look like a miniature chopper, a pit bike will look like a miniature motor cross and a mini pocket rocket will look like a smaller version of a GP racing bike. A good price point for your first pocket bike would be around $350. You can get a pocketbike for much less than that, but then compromises will have to be made. Most importantly you will get a frame that is made from inferior metal alloys making it heavier and less sturdy.

You will probably have to ride the pocket bike on private property only as they are usually banned from road use. Check you neighborhood for places to ride before buying one.

As many riders unfortunately have experienced on their own skin, a pocket bike is not a toy and a fall from one without the proper safety gear can be very painful. Wear at least a helmet and preferably a full riding kit including pants, jacket, gloves, knee pads and shoes. While being safer than a real motorcycle a mini moto can still reach very high speeds. And being very maneuverable it can be easy to lose control of one.

I hope you will take these tips to heart, ride with the proper gear, and above all, have fun! - 21393

Truth About Tax Credit For Hybrid Car

By Anton Rowd

These days, there is a rise in new fuel-efficient hybrid car products for sale. Due to this rise the government is compelled to apply taxes. Those who are planning on buying a hybrid car should not be at a loss though. The Internal Revenue Service has already legitimized a handful of hybrid car brands and models for a tax credit. This may be a pretty good offer for those planning on buying a hybrid car, and it could be one of the best incentives initiated so far.

What Tax Credit Is

Hybrid cars bought on or after January 1, 2006 are entitled for a tax credit varying from $400 to $3,400. The range of amounts depends on the fuel economy. On the other hand, this credit tax may not endure due to the fact that it also highly depends on how many people will want to buy new hybrid cars and other automobiles. This indicates that tax credits are predicted to be a short-term offer as manufacturers reach a certain quota of sold hybrid car products. Evidently, trade names that are less in demand will not be largely influenced if sales do not rise outstandingly.

Models That Are Eligible

A list has been released by the IRS, which consists of hybrid cars that could be certified for a tax credit. The list specifies hybrid cars sold after January 1, 2006. It also indicates those that are to be paid in 2008. Below are appropriate tax credit sums according to car model:

2007 Chevrolet Silverado (2WD): $250.00 2007 Chevrolet Silverado (4WD): $650.00 2007 Ford Escape 4 WD Hybrid: $1,950 2007 Ford Escape Front WD Hybrid: $2,600 2007 GMC Sierra (2WD): $250.00 2007 GMC Sierra (4WD): $650.00 2007 Honda Accord Hybrid AT: $1,300 2007 Honda Accord Hybrid Navi AT: $1,300 2007 Honda Civic GX compressed natural gas vehicle: $4,000 2007 Honda Civic Hybrid CVT: $2,100 2007 Lexus GS 450h: $1,550 2007 Lexus RX 400h 2WD and 4WD: $2,200 2007 Mercury Mariner 4 WD Hybrid: $1,950 2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid: $2,350 2007 Saturn Aura Green Line: $1,300 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line: $650 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid: $2,600 2007 Toyota Highlander Hybrid 2WD and 4WD: $2,600 2007 Toyota Prius: $3,150.

New Cars Only

Of course, this tax credit does not apply to all hybrid cars. There are limits. One of these limits includes that the hybrid car you purchase must be brand new. This means that used hybrid cars are not qualified for tax credits. Hybrid cars must also only be purchased for personal or business use and not for resale.

The tax credit for hybrid car products will reduce your income tax liability. It is also a non-refundable tax credit and any excess cannot be carried over to the next year. But what does all this mumbo jumbo mean? The tax credit basically means that you can save money not only on from spending less on gas but you can save through tax breaks. The IRS and the government is basically trying to promote the use of more energy efficient and eco-friendly cars by allowing tax breaks for those who purchase new hybrid vehicles. - 21393
