How to Buy Tires Online

By Kenneth P. Hawkins

Purchasing new tires online for your car or truck could be fast, economical and convenient when getting the tires that you need. Many sites will give you a lot of information on how to pick the brand and style of tires that will suit your automobile minus the fuss of sales people pitching the priciest tire in their shop. A few basic tips and a credit card will help you find the tires that are just right for your car.

Find the size number on the sidewall of your current tires. You need to get the tires that have the same size so these would fit your car's make and model when you install them. There is a load range for each type of tire and you will need to find new tires that match that of your existing ones. The load range tells you how much load the tires could be in without getting seriously damaged from stress. The speed rating of the tires you will choose should also match that of your existing ones as well. This rating indicates how much speed of your car the tires can handle before wearing them out.

Go browsing through online stores that sell tires and make comparisons of the prices and quality. Goodyear, Michelin and Firestone are the best brands out there. You can also check out other brands for comparison. Shop for the tires that have the same size numbers, load range and speed rating as your current ones. Select the best tires from different brands for the best deal you can get. Price is not always king. When it comes to road safety, there's a much better value in paying a premium.

Tire makers differ in grading systems when it comes to treadwear so it's of no use to compare the grades between brands. You can compare the grades between tires of the same brand. Try to buy a set of similar tires. You would have a better idea of the quality of the tires and be more informed in your next purchase.

When comparing prices, compare the price of getting the tire offline and having it installed. It's true that initially the tires may be cheaper online but if you're not installing these yourself, you'd have to go to a service station. Factor in the costs of shipping and installing the tires that you would purchase online so you'd know whether or not you are getting a better deal. - 21393

Teen Driving And The Perils

By Nathan Lewit

Teenage driving is something we all can remember. It was a thrill when we got that piece of paper giving us the ability to take to the road in a car. Lately teenage driving has become synonymous with crashes and tragedies.

The lack of experience that they have driving is believed to have a huge bearing on this issue. There are now plans that have been implemented in an effort to bring these numbers to a much lower level.

Driver's education classes are a great start for a teen to begin their life of driving. It can give them a great foundation of what the rules are and the acceptable ways to act when you are behind the wheel of a vehicle. In class and in car lessons give them some of the experience they need, but this is far from enough. The learning needs to continue after the driver's education is complete.

It is a great way for a teen to start driving, but it is just the beginning as the learning process needs to continue after driver's education is done.

There are so many things that teenagers take for granted once they begin to drive it is a very scary thing. There are a lot of teens that text message and talk on cell phones while they are driving. This is taking a huge risk with their lives when they do this as well as others that are on the road when they are doing such things. New laws that have been implemented making the use of cell phones while driving illegal in many places is an excellent way to reduce this risk associated with teenage driving.

Drugs and drinking and driving are still a big matter that is still seen to happen all the time. No matter how the laws change people continue to do this and do not think of the others that could be hurt by it. Teenage driving is still quite common in alcohol or drug related traffic accidents. The police are doing the best that they can and are using zero tolerance policies when it comes to drugs and alcohol and being behind the wheel of a car.

Young men are having behaviours that are quite risky as well. They love the road racing idea but do not think of the people that may get hurt while they do such things. They just see it as speed and more speed. This is okay when you are in an appropriate place like there are in some states, but it is not acceptable on our everyday roads.

We all want to make sure that teenage driving remains fun and enjoyable. That is why there are so many groups that have been formed that are all trying to make sure that our young people remain safe while out on the road. They need to be commended for the time and the efforts that they give. - 21393

Key Advantages Of Mobile Car Grooming

By Lenie Webb

We all wish to be proud owners of a perfectly groomed car, but we lack the time and also the expertise to handle the looks of our cars. This is the sole reason behind the rise and prosperity of the car grooming industry.

Experts in the business know everything about the different processes that must be used to get the best results to get your car looking spanking clean. But, as our lives have become busier, most people do not often get the time to go and get their car groomed, and this has led to the emergence of businesses which offer mobile car grooming services.

Mobile car grooming comes with a number of benefits. Most importantly, the process is quick and uncomplicated than having to drop your car with a grooming firm and then bringing it back. Mobile car grooming experts serve you at your doorstep, while you leisurely spend your weekend with your kids.

There is also some evidence that mobile car grooming is a safer option for your car. A recent study showed that when a car is left at the site of a grooming firm, the people there normally end up being careless, which usually results in unintended harm to the car. But professionals from the mobile car grooming firm execute their jobs right before your house, so they know that you can oversee their work if you want and even evaluate their abilities, which makes them alert.

A mobile car grooming service may seem a little bit on the expensive side, but in reality it is not so when you take into account all the advantages associated with it. If you analyse the costs you incur for taking the car to the grooming company's premises and then bringing it back, and the time you spend on the whole process, you'll find that mobile car grooming is monetarily a much better option too. - 21393

How to Attract more Car Buyers with Online Videos

By Michael Tatzber

The internet has revolutionized the car business. Most car dealer web sites present their cars with text and images, sometimes they might even use slide shows to give customers a better feel of what to expect. But most car dealers have not yet fully understood the power of video.

Nowadays when people want to buy a car, they first go on the internet to see what is available. Some use classified web sites like craigslist, but the information you will get is very limited. A video can not just show you the vehicles, but also the person who is trying to sell it.

Web videos are a major tool for the success of any marketing campaign, of course also for the car industry. You can use all kinds of different strategies in terms of content, ranging from introducing your dealership, to short walk around videos about some vehicles from your current inventory. Video is not just quicker than slide shows, but it can also be way more entertaining.

Syndicating your videos is an easy process too. Many hosting websites like YouTube or Yahoo Video let you upload your video content for free, create profiles and channels. No specific knowledge is needed, but it can take some time, that why many car dealers use a service like TopSeekInc.com to upload and syndicate their videos.

In terms of editing software there are two option. Free software like Microsoft's Movie Maker or Mac's iMovie can really do the job, if you don't want to get too fancy. For most of us, they probably do the job just fine. If you want to use something more sophisticated, there are plenty of software programs available at very affordable prices. Make sure you watermark your videos with your domain name and phone number, so people can easily contact you or look at your other offers and services. If you don't own a camera, you can just buy a simple HD camera like the Flip and maybe a tripod. If you want to invest in an external microphone, that will make the audio quality better.

Because so many dealerships are discovering the real power of online videos, the competition starts to become tougher and tougher, but it is not that you have a real choice. If you want to be part of the car business, then you better get your videos ready. Grab a camera, stand in front of a car and start talking. That's all there is. It's just like a simple virtual sale pitch. If you have no problem selling cars at the lot, then it should also not be a problem to shoot a video about it. - 21393

My Used Jeep Memories

By Gregory Paul

My elementary years were spent in a rustic barrio in the highlands of a mountainous province in the Philippines. It wasn't that far away but due to road conditions back then, a trip to the nearest city would take about 6 hours and my hometown was 8 hours away.

Grandpa was a former city boy who loved and embraced rural living when he got older. He would take us down on a long ride back to our hometown to visit relatives about once every month. When we arrive in the city during those days, my eyes would always turn green with envy when i see people in brand new cars with rolled up windows and air conditioning. I would always envision myself arriving one day into my hometown in an air conditioned automobile away from the heat and dust.

It is astonishing to me then when i see people approach my grandpa and rave to him about our awesome ride; how easy and quick is it for us to get to our hometown from where we came from. I would hear them say they would trade anything that they own just to have a jeep like my grandpa's. Are they for real? They have brand new cars and ours was a pre-owned piece of metal.

That old jeep was bought second hand by my grandfather. He had it repainted a deep brown first and foremost to give it a new look. The jeep didn't have comfortable front seats originally so grandpa found this front seats from an old car and had it reupholstered.

The trips we had with that jeep were really long ones. Grandpa always got gasoline rations from his company, and sometimes would receive gifts in the form of gasoline rations from some uncles. He had that kind of effect on people. A lot of guys always wanted to please him and make him happy. The original gasoline tank that didn't hold so much just wouldn't do so he installed this tank from an old truck. It ate up all of the front row area under the seats.

He also had leather roofings installed on the jeep. He connected a miniature electric fan, and even brought along his tiny portable set to be attached to our ride. I have to admit that despite me wanting a new car so much, looking back, we did have a wonderful jeep.

The jeep stayed with us since I was in the third grade. When I was leaving for the capital to attend college, grandpa took me to the airport in the jeep. By then the jeep had served us for a decade already. When I cam home after graduation, my grandpa was too old to make the trip already. The jeep was still serving him at the time though.

It might have been a used jeep when we got it, but it gave our family service that eclipsed all other vehicles that we ever had. It has exceeded all expectations when it came to performance, and the memories we shared with that old timer is far more cherished than any other car we had.

Truly, used cars if loved and cared for can prove to be of greater value than new ones. Ours was by far the most precious ride of all. - 21393
